More about me!
Hi, I’m Laura.
I'm a 24-year-old with a passion for fitness and nutrition. From a young age, my parents encouraged me to give almost any sport a go, which laid the foundation for my love of exercise. At the age of 9, I began competitive gymnastics, an experience that not only fuelled my passion for movement but also introduced me to the challenges of body image and self-comparison.
These experiences inspired me to pursue a degree in Human Nutrition at Massey University, where I learned the importance of fuelling the body for optimal health and the value of maintaining a healthy relationship with food. I believe that a balanced approach to nutrition is key to a mentally and physically healthy life.
After university, I decided to deepen my knowledge by becoming a certified Personal Trainer. I have always believed exercise is a crucial piece of the puzzle when it comes overall well-being.
What I love most about being a Personal Trainer is witnessing my clients transform their perceptions of their bodies. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing them feel empowered by their progress, gain confidence both inside and outside the gym, and develop a more loving and respectful relationship with themselves.
Outside of the gym, I’m a huge foodie with a love for baking and discovering new restaurants. I run a podcast with my sister “The Sister Spiel Podcast” where we chat about all the ups & downs of navigating life in our 20’s. I also cherish time spent outdoors, especially at the beach, and adore any time spent with friends and family.
